Space Galaxy Ed. Destruction Microns
Original release date: May, 2003

Bar none the rarest and sought after store-exclusive Microns, this Destruction Team repaint was a Jusco exclusive item during Golden Week, the one week
holiday at the start of May. As to why it was so hard to get a set, the Microns were singly random packed inside Convoy Super Mode boxes. Customers had
to buy Convoy at the retail price of about 6000 yen (over $50) and open the box before they even knew which Micron they received. Doing the math on this,
if you had the best luck in the world at the time of release you would have had to spend $150 to get the three Microns. And if your luck is merely normal, it would
be likely to take around 5-6 tries, $250-300! And have fun with the mountain of Convoys as well, you could set up a domino-like display with his
auto-transforming trailers!
In contrast to the several thousand that are produced of most Microns teams, there were 400 of these teams produced (1200 Convoy packs), putting a concrete
number on why the set continuues to evade so many Micron fanatics.

The set was colored with the somewhat unremarkable scheme of black and grey, referred to by some fans as the "Oreo cookie Microns." The toys very seldomly show
up on the secondary market, but because of the massive initial cost to obtain them, sets now fetch as much as $300. They seem to sell for somewhat less individually,
probably because most collectors doubt their ability to find the other members.
